Creative Currents at XCHG Bishopsgate, July 2nd

A wonderful warm evening spent among artists and friends was my first delightful experience at ‘Creative Currents.’

Anomali Art – Creative Currents event. London

This Contemporary art event began with an introduction from organizer Assa O’Conner of Anomali Art. followed by a fascinating video installation made and shown by artist Lucinda Green. The fab titled ‘She pulled and pulled and eventually it went pop! And the golden light that radiated overshone her ability to see darkness.‘ I’ll take a breath! Had many visual elements. The surreal art aspects were especially effective, and visually wonderful.

Artist Interviews

The subsequent interviews with attending artists Lucinda, Julie Collins, Sheen Ochavez, Andy Onyx, Armando Alemdar Ara and Bill Sykes then began. These explored how they each came to their art and creativity in the first instance. Always a tricky one this, and each artist gave very inciteful, and candid answers the audience could both understand and enjoy. Bill Sykes answer ‘If you have it within you, just do it’, was both powerful and motivational for any aspiring artist.

After this and several other questions, we were able to discuss in open forum. This very enjoyable event let the audience meet the artists to discuss and appreciate there work. Hope you do also!
