'Elderly faces are a favourite of mine to draw, stamped with expression and marked from the years, well lived in, they make for very detailed portraits, and Sir David Attenborough's face is one of my favourites. I wanted to really capture that kind, iconic face we all know and love, with it's every mark & line.
The portrait was drawn over 168 hours in graphite pencils. Each wrinkle & fold in his skin is detailed, making for a very realistic portrait that you could look at for hours, finding new details in his skin each time. This piece is exclusive to Galleria Balmain.'
