'I wanted to draw this picture as soon as I saw it. The Queens lovely wrinkles & lines from years of life & laughter are a wonderful expression of who the lady is. I loved the expression she was pulling in this photo and the twinkle in her eye and hope I captured that. Her curly white hair was great fun to draw and took up many of the 198 drawing hours this piece took to create. The drawing was started in May this year and was worked on in parts till September when I completed it, in my home in Mont Roig, Catalonia. The piece is exclusive to Galleria Balmain.'
