While working as a stage and costume designer for Moscow theatres I became fascinated by the diversity of the interpretation of this character throughout Europe during 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Therefore when I opened my own studio in Norwich in 2016 and, after many failures of working with clay, I finally felt confident to do this character justice.
