Venancio Martin Gonzalez studied Art and History of Arts at the University of Salamanca and the private Academy of Cibeles in Spain. He is trained as a stone mason and sculptor as well as Photography and Media design.
Vanancio started his artistic career in 1996 as a stone mason and sculptor in Salamanca where he worked on the restoration of the new cathedral in Salamanca - Catedral nueva de Santa Maria del Asedio, located in old town Salamanca, the cathedral is part of the Unesco World Heritage site.
In the following years after this early work he began teaching sculpture in Vallamayor and Salamanca while also exhibiting his Artwork and undertook several commissions also.
In 2007 he moved to the German capital Berlin as a new inspiration and fresh innovation in order to grow further. In this new phase he turned to drawing and painting as his main focus, using Acrylic as the paint medium as well as mixed media large formats. He was involved in 10 exhibitions and Art Fairs in Berlin and other German cities, please see the time line below.
Venancio now lives in Yangon, Myanmar caring for his daughter Olivia and also expanded his Art direction into Photography capturing the beautiful landscape and light he feels is very special in Myanmar.
