About this lot

Unframed original Aquatint print.

Entomology VII, is an Aquatint intaglio printmaking technique, a variant of etching that produces areas of tone rather than lines.

From a series that explores the balance between chance and random elements Peter used Euclidean geometry to create a pencil drawing with a compass and straight edge as the rule. Once completed he introduced the random element of Rorschach ink blots for this bilateral image. As humans are all naturally bilaterally symmetrical, the image appeals to our natural expression and understanding.

This limited edition of 30 is signed, dated and numbered by the Artist.
