The soul falls apart. Presence and absence. Through a strict technique, from the chiaroscuro study to a meticulous hatching my drawing attempts to give back that intimate brightness, often dormant or hidden that is inside us. The parts exposed are clear and visible as much as those laying in shade, sometimes erased from a material artistic gesture or simply hidden from the gaze of others. We look at these portraits and we are observed from them, glimpsing that moment of evolution and change where pain and renaissance chase each other finding a perfect balance between fragility and power, fear and awareness, light and shade.
